I...

Re: USB SmoothStepper Hookup
Hi Smoothstepper, KFLOP and PCMC1 are all motion controllers, KFLOP for example both understands GCODE directly or you can write 'C' code to enhance it's internal fucntions. pretty cool. Mach 4 need totally new drivers for all devices which is why it is taking longer to release and the parallel port...

if you look at their Feed/Speeds for that bit (which looks to be a PCB (FR-4) bit) http://precisebits.com/Reference/chipbreakerfeedspeed.asp it's 15IPM at 60Krpm and a 20IPM plunge So it looks like unless your router goes into over drive you can't drive that bit. it's going way to slow This would be...

What happens is as it gets colder the mice go to find warmer places like a house the observatory is not heated or cooled. it's always air temperature for the optics. Now the ferrell cats take care of that for us house for us but my observatory though is farther away( about 250ft from the house) when...

Painting Steel
Question
In the book you mention a zinc based primer which is not that hard to find.
but for the color you mention a Oil Based Paint.
are you talking a spray can type paint or is this a brush on paint?
can you give an idea of brands of paint to either use or avoid?
Thank you
Sandra
