Re: My first Voice Over Video

Most of the time the fence is in place in case it snags. And it has a few times. That's more of a problem on the large drill press. On this little one it is so under powered. If it catches, it will just stall.

I will be starting a web blog on the harmonic drive after I get a couple more chapters on the CNCCS Plasma table completed ( couple days). I will post links to all the components I will be using.

Note that this will be for the CNCCS as, the write-up for the KRMx02 will be a more involved.

Re: Harmonic Rotary Drive

KRMx02 For the KRMx02 you can swap out one of the drives but in order to have full axis to all drives you will need a driver and breakout board and a way to interface it to your PC. Re: Harmonic Rotary Drive

I will probably look at doing some milling of aluminum angle and square on the KRMx02 or CNC Construction Set. You can plasma cut aluminum, but the finish wont be as good. For plasma, I only need to support the part by one end. For milling both ends will need to be supported.

No. The design is pretty much set. Chaining the size of any axis would require you to resize all components running that axis. IE All Gantry components, frame. In addition you may also have stand issues. Also the design is rigid for the x size used, increasing the span of the gantry will result in l...

I experimented with this in the early days of the KRMx02. In reality while you can turn any CNC machine into a 3D printer and get them to work.
