Steel stand questions

Hi All,
Full blown newbie here.

In the KRMx02 Steel Stand pdf manual on the the bottom of page 5 figure 1.7 the line toward the bracket appears to point to the corner of the inside of the angle.

When I built it this way the holes in the panels did not line up. They were about 1/2" too close together.

Does the Step 5 wording indicate that the "backside" of the angle is the side that is closest to the end of the support beam?
If so then then Fig 1.7 and the wording need to be in agreement.

In my last iteration of the stand, I assembled it according to Figure 1.7 and made new panels.

My next question is the most important one.

Is this difference in measuring critical to precision mounting of machine on the stand?

Thanks,
bro d

It is the outside of the angle.

The stand is not critical. There is a lot of room for change since the CNC just sits on top and there are a number of ways of securing the cross beams on the KRMx02 to the stand.

Another option is to just increase the size of the panel mounting holes to fit. Washers will cover the holes.
