I just tried to upload a jpg file which is 303 kBytes in size. On my computer, I right click on the file and select properties and it lists the file as 303 KB. After trying to attach the file I got a yellow triangle and when I clicked it, it said:
Error
The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 512 KiB.

I just uploaded a file that was 165 KB and it worked.

Am I doing something wrong?

The forum is set for 512K, so there is not much I can do. There are also limits on width and heights

I guess my file must have exceeded the height or width limit. (I don't like it when the computer is "smarter" than me!)

I limit the height and width so they dont mess up the display. Sometimes they get posted without thumbnails and a large photo will really mess up the flow of the forum.
