Pocket NC
I will be adding a rotary axis to the KRmc01 milling machine. In doing so I will probably find a way to add the same rotary to the KRMx02.
Its easyer with the KRmc01 as it has a spare controller channel. The KRMx02 does not. YOu would have to add a second parallel port, and G540 controller. IF using a SmootStepper would just have to add the g540.
OF course you could add a breakout board and a single channel controller.
You see what I am getting at. Its a little more involved on the KRMx02. Another option is to replace an axis on the KRMx02 with the rotary axis. This would allow you to mill in the X, Y, Z but the Y for instance, would be the rotary. This is how it is done on lasert systems and it works very well. In this instance no special software is needed.
